About

Seeking to advance and mainstream cyber resilience in support of sustainable development and capacity building in critical sectors of the economy, Tel Aviv University’s Blavatnik ICRC developed a new approach to maturing cybersecurity and resilience of critical sectors. The unique sectoral approach of TAU’s PROGRESS Cyber Capability Maturity Model complements national-level assessments and aligns with the main organization-level frameworks, such as the NIST CSF.

In this session, Tel Aviv University will reveal the outputs of its work building critical infrastructure protection in 11 countries in Africa and Asia. Working as an exclusive advisor to the World Bank Digital Development Global Practice, the Blavatnik ICRC delivered tailored analyses and recommendations for critical infrastructure protection in four sectors: healthcare, financial services, electricity, and digital infrastructure. Having validated the value of the sectoral approach to cyber resilience, The World Bank is about to launch the Sectoral Cybersecurity Maturity Model (SCMM).

Speakers from the development community will share their latest insights, experiences, and plans for advancing sustainable development goals while scaling up critical infrastructure protection. The State of Israel contributed to the Cybersecurity Multi-Donor Trust Fund under the broader Digital Development Partnership (DDP) Umbrella Program and is embracing integrating cyber resilience in development agenda.
