MG Nadav Padan was born in Israel in 1967. Currently he is the Head of the IDF C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate, a position which he was appointed to in 2016.
General Padan was recruited to mandatory service as a combat soldier in the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit.
In addition, he served as Commander Battalion in the Nahal Infantry Brigade, Commander of A Special Forces Unit, Commander of Regional Brigade Etzion, Commander of IDF Officer School, Ground Forces Attaché in the Israeli embassy in Washington DC, Deputy Commander of Ga’ash Division, Commander of Edom Division and Commander of Jordan Valley Armor Division.

MG Nadav Padan holds a BA in Philosophy Studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, a BA in Industrial Design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and an LL.M from Peres College.
MG Padan is married, has three children and lives in Modiin.
