Shmuel (Mooly) Eden is One of Israel’s Technology leaders, and until recently
He held the position of Senior Vice president in Intel Corporation and the president of Intel Israel (The biggest private employer in the state).
Eden joined Intel Israel in 1982. He held numerous technical and managerial positions in microprocessor research & development. Among the highlight of his career one can mention:
• Leading the design of the Intel® Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology (The 1st Multibillion $ processor designed in Israel).
• Leading the design of Intel® Centrino® Processor Technology (That started the Mobile פrevolution)
• Shaping the Intel Israel development centers to be one of the best innovative design centers in the world
In 2003 Eden relocated to the US and held several marketing and executive positions. Before returning to Israel he was heading Intel’s biggest business unit, The Notebook and desk top group, growing its revenue to $32B
In 2012 Eden returned to Israel where he has been serving as the President of Intel Israel as well as the General Manager of the Perceptual Computing organization Until 2015.
In 2017 Eden was voted to be the chairman of the Executive committee of the Haifa University. Eden dedicates his free time to promote STEM education, help startups and serve as a board member in some of them.
In 2010 Eden was voted by the “Fast Company magazine as one the 26 most creative people in the world.
In 2012 Eden was voted by Forbes magazine as one of the top 10 most brilliant technological minds in the world along side Amazon CEO and Apple chief designer.
Eden received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel in 1973 and a senior business management degree from Jerusalem University. He taught as an adjunct senior lecturer at the MBA program of the Technion Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2002
Rick J. Echevarria is a vice president in the Software and Services Group and the general manager of the Platforms Security Division for Intel Corporation. He is leading Intel’s efforts to transform security across the computing landscape, and bring to market the value and promise of hardware-enhanced security. He is responsible for innovating and implementing silicon-based security platform technologies and features, and for driving security outcomes through hardware and software integration with the security ecosystem.
Prior to his current role, Rick led Intel’s Business Client Platform Division through the evolution, innovation, and ramp of the Intel® vPro™ platform portfolio, growing the platform volume 43% over 4 years.
Over the course of his more than 20 year career with Intel, Rick has provided leadership and innovation to Intel across hardware and software engineering, product line management, new business development, sales and marketing, and strategic business planning and management. Early in his career he was instrumental in establishing and growing the worldwide software developer ecosystem for Intel® architecture-based hardware and software products as part of the Software and Services Group. During his leadership role within Intel Solutions Services, he was responsible for building a worldwide professional services organization where he helped companies capitalize on the full value of Intel Architecture and Intel technologies. Additionally, as part of the Sales and Marketing organization, he led the efforts to enrich and extend Intel’s strategic partnership within the global enterprise market segment.
Prior to joining Intel, Echevarria was a software developer for IBM Corporation. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University and his master’s degree in computer systems management from Union College.
