Stanley M. Galas is an American attorney who currently works for NATO in Mons, Belgium. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1989. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Galas was a military prosecutor for the United States Army in Germany. From 1996 to 2006, Mr. Galas worked as a civilian attorney for the United States Army in Belgium, as Chief of Administrative Law and Chief of International Law. In 2006, Mr. Galas began working for NATO. From 2006 to 2012, he was the General Counsel for the NATO CIS Services Agency (NCSA), NATO's IT service provider. NCSA included the NATO Computer Incident and Response Capability (NCIRC), which is responsible for technical execution of NATO's cyber defence. From 2012 until the present, Mr. Galas has been the Command Counsel for the NATO CIS Group, a NATO military command located in 14 countries, which is responsible for NATO's deployed networks in military theatres of operations.
