David is sought after by the media, online, and analyst community for his perspective on information security issues, and he is a regular contributor to different publications (Radio, Web, Blog, Newspapers). David is known for his expertise in areas like Incident Response, Security Operations, Information Security, Big Data, Threat Intelligence, Information Sharing, and Citizen protection. He is an active blogger, speaker, and media contributor on these and other information security topics.

In addition, David is part of several publications including researches on specific domains such as : Chatham House CyberSecurity in Nuclear Plant & he also contributed and presented during global event such as IHEDN or Assises de la sécurité, FIC in France, ISMS and CCI in Spain or Cyber Security Week in Israel.

David Grout owns a high school diploma delivered by the French Informatique Institute, he also owns several certifications including : CISSP, Comptia Security +, Lead Auditor ISO 27001.

After 4 years as a Technical Support Leader at AUGEO SOFTWARE, David joined McAfee in 2003 as a Technical Account Manager for Top Accounts in France. From 2003 to 2006 David has been involved on several Malware crisis situations as a project leader for support relationship. Following the McAfee acquisition of Onigma in 2006, he is nominated as DLP Evangelist for the EMEA Market. In 2010 based on his successes in the French market David has been promoted to lead the French PreSales Organisation. In 2012 the company decided to promote him again as Director PreSales for Southern Europe where he built a team of 22 PreSales and achieved 90M$+ turnover.

In January 2016 David is appointed by FireEye to lead the PreSales Engineering Team in South Europe including France, Iberia, Italy, Greece, Israel and Turkey, he is also responsible for the press relationships and speaker during external and internal events on CyberSecurity. In addition, David is the officer liaison for institutions and he is actively working on think tanks dedicated to cyber security such as: CLUSIF, AFNOR
