Professor Sheizaf Rafaeli (B.A., Haifa University, M.A. Ohio State University, M.A., Ph.D., Stanford University) is Founding Director of the Center for Internet Research (InfoSoc, the Center for the Study of the Information Society) (1998 - present), and former Head of the Graduate School of Management (2005-2011), University of Haifa Israel. He serves as Director in a series of public interest organizations and as a member of several Editorial Boards. He is co-PI and member of the Academic Management of the ICORE LINKS Center of Excellence for research on Learning in the Age of Information.

Prof. Rafaeli served as head of the Information Systems area at the GSB in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, since 1986. He has held visiting appointments in numerous universities on four continents. His interests are in computers as media.
