Alexander Malyshau holds the post of Information Management Officer at the OSCE Secretariat Transnational Threats (TNT) Department's Co-ordination Cell. He is also a Technical Focal Point for Cyber Issues for the Department. In his current position, Alexander is responsible for the information and content management of the OSCE POLIS system – an online repository of information covering all aspects of activities addressing transnational threats within the OSCE area, as well as for providing technical expertise to any cyber security and cybercrime related projects. In this role, Alexander represents OSCE at the European Cybercrime Training and Education Group (ECTEG) meetings and contributes to the work of the Group alongside Europol's EC3 and various national cyber centres of excellence.
This year Alexander is expected to complete his MSc studies at the University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, where he follows a programme in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation taught at the UCD Centre for Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Investigation.
Alexander also has a degree in Law from the Belarusian Institute of Law (1997) and more than fifteen years of experience in various information and communication technology positions, mostly in international organizations, such as World Bank and OSCE.
Alexander is an ITIL V3 Foundation and PRINCE2 certified expert.
