At IronNet Cybersecurity, as the CEO and President, GEN (Ret) Alexander provides strategic vision to corporate leaders on cybersecurity issues through development of cutting edge technology, consulting and education/training.
Mr. Alexander served as the first Commander, U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) from 2010 to 2014 and the 16th Director, National Security Agency (NSA) from 2005-2014.
As Commander, USCYBERCOM, he was responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting operations and defending Department of Defense (DoD) computer networks as well as the defense of the nation from cyber attacks. As the Director, NSA, he was responsible for a DoD agency with national foreign intelligence requirements, military combat support, and U.S. national security information system protection responsibilities.
Before heading up USCYBERCOM and the NSA, GEN (Ret) Alexander served as the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command at Fort Belvoir, VA, the Director of Intelligence, United States Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, FL., and the Deputy Director for Requirements, Capabilities, Assessments and Doctrine, J-2, on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Mr. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy, as well as holding a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University; a Master of Science in Systems Technology (Electronic Warfare) and Physics from the Naval Post Graduate School; and National Security Strategy from the National Defense University.
In addition to his role at IronNet Cybersecurity, Mr. Alexander is also a member of the Washington Speakers Bureau.
